The Plumb Line
Documentation Services
Plumb Line offers a process documentation service that emphasises monitoring the maintenance of process documentation and keeping it accurate, up-to-date and useful to its users.
If process documentation becomes an exercise that is performed in isolation without a relevant link up between processes, it becomes obsolete and useless to the staff that should be empowered by it. Plumb Line’s documentation service revolves around a client-unique documentation tool, commonly referred to as “The Plumb Line”.
Methodology
A high level of recording processes and updating process documentation is applied in the beginning. Once the major processes have been documented on the Plumb Line, documentation drops to lower levels, depending on the client’s requirements. A process document mainly consists of a process flow diagram (that may link to other process diagrams), and a detailed activity list, which outlines the process to the user. The purpose of the process, it’s impact on other processes and the risks attached to this process are clearly outlined to the user.
